Chinese National Holidays

Hi All,
I always wonered from the day i entered China.
These guys are so much passionate and patriotic for their coutry. I wanted to share my feelings through this blog and also want to know other's views on this.
We all saw the Olympics ceremonies to see the value of image for China, but being in China i feel that intensity even miles away from Beijing here in Shenzhen as well. People glued to their TV sets for the Chinese events, clapping for the point win, ooing for the loosing one...but it was so LIVE here. This is called passion for something.
As most of you might know this week is National Holidays in China, all the raods are carrying Chinese National flags, supermarkets are decorated with the flags and other stuff...it feels like they are proud to be a free nation and respect that. They love to show the integrety. I never felt this way in some other place.
I am not sure how it works in US, Europe or any other country but as an Indian, i can tell you this is not how it works in India. In India, you will see the flags only in the government places or schools, but never people carrying Flags, hosting on one's house/bunglow or on the road sides to celebrate the day we fought for so many years. The people are patriotic but afraid to show that in India.
What you guys feel? I would really like to know your views.
China always amazes me with their love to their language, culture, history and country. Never see two Chinese sitting together in a foreign country and talking in English. They will speak only Chinese. The premier of China, President of China, and all other big leaders use Chinese even when in International conventions...
